Tribalism is an ambiguous term defined by early settlers of the United Island as the traditional spiritual practices and beliefs of the native NPC villagers. Tribalist practices have been in decline since the spread of Bailism among the villagers. The actual beliefs of Tribalism vary from villager to villager, but typically involve some kind of polytheistic deification of nature (the Sun God, the Dirt God, the Cow God, etc.). The villagers of Big River constructed a church-like temple in the center of the village, which was later converted to the Church of the Divine Mother on December 20, 2016 by MayorSamuel, a Bailist missionary.
